Five of District's staff members were certified in first aid, CPR, and the operation of an automated external defibrillator (AED). The four and one-half hour American Heart Association® HeartSaver® First Aid CPR AED training was held on November 28, 2018 and conducted by Lori Bourassa with the Cintas Corporation. During this hands-on training, each staff member was required to demonstrate that they could perform the requirements to be certified. The staff members that completed the training were Kelcey DeGeorge, Linda Eberhard, Leon Gomes, Steve Knepper, and Calvin Lindt.
The District's Board of Directors authorized the purchase of a mobile AED during its October 18, 2018 Regular Meeting. Fifty percent of the cost of the AED will be reimbursed to the District by the Colorado Special Districts Property & Liability Pool, the District's insurance program, through its Safety Grant. The AED has been placed in the District's Administration & Maintenance Building and can be used in the field if needed.
